Family Service

Families are welcome at all our services, but rather than having their own groups, at the Family Service we worship God together. We use words and bible readings that are accessible for everyone, as well as sometimes getting to meet Monty Mouse, and welcoming baptismal families into God’s church. The family service takes place on the second Sunday of every month.

Messy Church

Messy Church is  church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. It’s primarily for people who don’t already belong to another form of church already, and meets at a variety of times that may well suit people who don’t already belong to church.
It typically includes a welcome, a long creative time to explore the biblical theme through getting messy; a short celebration time involving story, prayer, song, games and similar; and a sit-down meal together at tables. All elements are for people of all ages, adults and children.
It’s a church for people at all stages of their faith journey and of any age and it models and promotes good ways of growing as a family: a nuclear family, an extended family, and a global and local church family.
Its aim is to introduce Jesus, to give an opportunity to encounter him and to grow closer to him. And best of all, it’s fun!

Edward Bear

If you are a pre-school child and enjoy playing with toys, modeling with play dough, singing songs and art and craft, you’ll love Edward Bear at Lawford Church. You’ll need to bring a responsible adult who will find that we have fresh coffee and biscuits available for them. Every Monday morning from 9.30-11.30am.
